Help

Creating an Account:

• When creating an account, several criteria must be met for both the username and password. These are indicated by the green ticks and red crosses underneath each field

IMPORTANT Do NOT use any of your regular passwords, although they are hashed (encrypted) it is using an algorithm I wrote, so I can't guarantee security

• On successful account creation, you will be redirected to the "Login" page where you should enter your new details in order to access the rest of the site

Setting up your profile:

• Once you have logged in, you will be redirected to the "Account" page where you are able to complete actions such as:

• Viewing your friends
• Viewing your posts / albums
• Creating new posts / albums
• Managing your account settings
• Viewing your saved Posts
• Viewing your recent activity
• Logging out

• In order to view the users that follow you / you follow, click the number located below your profile picture with the label "Followers" or "Following". On each respective page, clicking on a user will allow you to remove them as a friend, or you can view their account

• To accept / ignore friend requests, navigate to "Activity" on the "Account" page. Here you will also be able to see when users have followed you, when users like your posts and when you follow users

Account Settings:

• On the "Account" page, the far-left button labelled "Account Settings" will allow you to edit information about your account such as:

• Editing / resetting your profile picture
• Setting your date of birth
• Setting your gender
• Adding your location (this is not visible to other users)
• Setting your account to private / public
• Changing your username
• Changing your password
• Deleting your account

IMPORTANT You must press the "Save" button at the very bottom to apply any changes

• You can also press "Cancel" next to the "Save" button which will discard any changes made

• A private account means people have to request to follow you in order to see your posts / albums

Creating a Post:

• Navigate to "Account", Choose "Create", followed by "Post". Here you will be instructed to upload a photo (this allows you to see and edit any metadata). Select a photo and click "Upload"

• In order to access the location metadata, your camera app must have access to your location. On IOS, you can turn this on by navigating to "Settings" > "Privacy and Security" > "Location Services" > scroll to find the camera app and check the "While Using the App" option. For extra precision toggle the "Precise Location" option on

• Once the photo has been uploaded, you will be redirected and presented with a preview of the photo along with any extracted metadata, which is editable. You must then add a title and a description, both of which are mandatory, indicated by the "*"

• Next, you will have the option to add this photo to an existing album, simply use the dropdown and select the album you would like to add it too

• At the bottom is the map, if there is any location metadata, it will be shown with a marker, otherwise you must select the location yourself. No selection defaults to 0, 0

• You then have the option to "Submit" which posts the photo, "Save to Drafts" and "Cancel"
IMPORTANT "Cancel" will delete the draft

Creating an Album:

• Navigate to "Account", Choose "Create", followed by "Album". Here you will be instructed to add a title and a description. A title is mandatory and each of your album titles must be unique (this only applies to your albums)

Adding to an Album:

• You can add a post to an album from the "View Post" page and when creating a post, in both cases, using the dropdown

• You can add a post to multiple albums

View Post:

• If you created the post, you are able to:

• Edit the post
• Delete the post
• Add it to an album

• On all posts you are able to:

• Like / dislike the post
• View any albums it is in
• Save the post
• View the creator

View Album:

• If you created the album, you are able to:

• Edit the album
• Delete the album
• Remove individual posts

• On all albums you are able to:

• Save the album
• View the creator

• Each album has a map, posts featured in the album are joined together chronologically using a red line. Posts are displayed by their picture which, when clicked, redirect you to the individual post's page

Editing a Post:

• To edit a post, click the post and click "Edit"

• To apply changes, click "Save" otherwise click "Cancel"

Editing an Album:

• To edit an album, click the album and click "Edit"

• To apply changes, click "Save" otherwise click "Cancel"

Viewing Other User's Accounts:

• You are able to access other user's accounts by either searching for a user, finding them in your follower/following list, finding them in the activity page or by finding any of their posts / albums and clicking their username

• When viewing their account, you are able to see all their posts / albums, followers, users they follow, their account details such as age and gender and the profile picture

• If the user is private, no posts or albums will be visible, and you must click the "Send Friend Request" button. Once they have accepted the friend request you will be able to see their post / albums

• You are able to cancel the friend request once it has been sent

• If the user's account is public, once the "Send Friend Request" button is clicked, you will immediately be following them

Using Drafts:

• To access your drafts, navigate to "Account" > "Create" > "Drafts"

• Once you have uploaded a photo during the process to create a post, the post is immediately saved to your drafts. Any further changes must be saved by pressing "Save to Drafts"

• When you first upload the photo and are editing the details you have the option to save the post to your drafts

• In the "Drafts" page, you can click a draft to edit it further (and not post), post it or delete the draft

• You are also able to delete drafts quickly by clicking the small "Remove" button below each draft in the "Drafts" page

Using Sort and Filters:

• To navigate to all posts, click the "Posts" button on the main navigation bar at the top

• In order to sort, use the dropdown to select the sort criteria, either newest, oldest or popularity. Then, press "Sort"

• When filtering by radius, you will see a default circle of 400000m, by moving the slider you can alter the size of the radius. Likewise, clicking elsewhere on the map will move the circle centre

• You then have the option to filter out posts or albums

• Finally, press "Filter"

• You are able to sort and filter simultaneously

Common Errors:

• If the photo you uploaded isn't the correct file type, the message "Image Error..." will be displayed

• If the album title you chose is already used by another of your albums, the message "Cannot have duplicate album names" will be displayed

• Any fields that must not be left blank will result in the message "Do not leave X blank" being displayed
